These files often contain non-printable characters and are not plain text files. Hex editing mode is typically used for binary files. This will change your encoded text into HEX. You can drag and drop on Notepad++ When the file is opened, click on Plugins, then HEX-Editor and click on “View in HEX” Opening file in Notepad++ and viewing in Hex format. Open the file in Vim directly as hexadecimal.txt to open the file and save it onto a file called output.
